    Parcells took over a franchise that had qualified for the postseason only once (1981) in the past decade and had only one winning record in their last 10 seasons when he became the head coach of the Giants in 1983. Within four seasons, Parcells guided them to their first Super Bowl win and brought new success to the team in four years.
